Student Life at L-Dub
The L-Dub experience is more than just academic classes. L-Dub students have many opportunities to meet as a school, celebrate together, participate in clubs, serve their community, and engage in healthy competition. There are many opportunities for leadership at L-Dub, and we believe that there are varied styles of leadership and that every student can be a leader in a way that works for them! Students may take on traditional leadership roles in student government, but we offer many other opportunities for students to cultivate different kinds of leadership.
L-Dub students demonstrate leadership in various ways. Students may act as a group discussion leader in class, run their own student learning conference, greet and tour guests at open houses or other community events, or help organize and lead an event like a school dance or fundraiser. Eighth grade students in particular act as important leaders in school; they are responsible for helping plan R&R group activities, mentoring their younger “siblings,” and generally leading by example.
