Rainier Scholars
With aligned missions and a shared commitment to educational equity, these two organizations will partner to offer academic enrichment for young scholars.
Rainier Scholars and Lake Washington Girls Middle School (LWGMS) are excited to announce a new partnership offering a convenient location for Rainier Scholars’ academic enrichment programming.
Offering a 12-year college access and career and leadership development program, Rainier Scholars currently serves underrepresented students of color in the Seattle, Renton and Highline School Districts.
The foundational component of the program is an intensive 14-month academic enrichment phase for fifth-graders, featuring in-person Saturday classes.
With a new location just a few blocks away from the Rainier Scholars headquarters, Lake Washington Girls Middle School has offered its facility for Saturday classes. Like Rainier Scholars, L-Dub, as it’s fondly known, challenges its students with high standards and helps them find the tools they need to succeed in middle school, high school and college.
