B.A., Environmental Science, Whittier College M.I.T., Secondary Education, Social Studies Endorsement, Seattle University Music Performance and Production Eric joined the L-Dub team in August of 2024 to teach Social Studies and Music. Eric has 15+ years of teaching experience where he has taught 6th through 12th grade social studies, facilitated music-based clubs and elective classes, coached various sports, and led international and domestic trips. Eric’s teaching career has been in greater-Seattle independent schools, including SAAS and Eastside Preparatory School. Eric was born in Sweden and moved to Seattle as a young child, though his Swedish cultural connection is still a strong part of his life. When not teaching, Eric enjoys recording and performing with his band. He also loves to hike and go on adventures with his family, plays basketball, collects vinyl records, and tends to read books about history or music. As a middle-school teacher, Eric has a passion supporting students in critically thinking about the world around them, looking through a social justice lens when unpacking history, and learning to wield their voice through strong communication and self-advocacy. |
