Biography

B.A. Biology, Whitman College

Ms. Katie is a Seattle native who had the pleasure of attending L-Dub as a middle schooler herself (class of 2009). She then attended Garfield High School and Whitman College, where she studied biology. Katie recently completed her master's degree at the University of Washington where she took courses on culturally responsive science teaching, adolescent development, and the science and theories behind learning. Katie is beyond thrilled to join the L-Dub community once again as a Science and STEAM teacher. When she’s not at school, you can find Katie either in the mountains skiing and hiking, or here in Seattle biking or hanging out with her dog.
